Abstract: An apparatus for determining a concentration of a driver includes: a region-of-interest definition processor configured to define a region-of-interest based on traffic-related information on front image information of a vehicle running; a driver eye-gaze detection processor configured to detect a plurality of eye-gaze points from driver image information of a driver in accordance with an eye-gaze movement of the driver; a driver concentration information calculation processor configured to calculate concentration information of each of the eye-gaze points; an image coordinate system processor configured to convert the region-of-interest to an image coordinate system and convert positions of the eye-gaze points to the image coordinate system; and a concentration determination processor configured to determine a concentration of the driver on the image coordinate system based on the concentration information.

The controller determines whether the vehicle follows the path guidance display by comparing a driving state of the vehicle with a position of the path guidance display displayed on the game screen and calculates a score of the safe drive inducing game according to whether the vehicle follows the path guidance display.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for determining a driving state are provided. The apparatus includes a jerk calculator configured to determine a minimum prediction jerk generated in an interval until an ego vehicle arrives at a location of a preceding vehicle, using location, velocity, and acceleration information of the ego vehicle at a current time and location, velocity, and acceleration information of the preceding vehicle and determine a permission jerk of a driver of the ego vehicle, a determiner configured to determine whether the minimum prediction jerk is greater than the permission jerk of the driver and determine a careless driving state based on a driving operation state of the driver when the minimum prediction jerk is greater than the permission jerk of the driver, and a signal processor configured to output an alert when it is determined as the careless driving state.

Abstract: A vehicle is provided to detect a failure of rear brake lamps of a preceding vehicle. Abstract: An apparatus and method for determining drowsiness of a driver are provided. The apparatus includes an imaging device that obtains an image of the driver and a controller that determines (e.g., based on the image of the driver) when the driver is in a fatigue state, when the driver is in an eyelid closure state, and when the driver is in a wake-up state. The controller further determines that the driver is in a drowsiness state when after the fatigue state of the driver continues over a predetermined first time interval, the eyelid closure state and the wake-up state of the driver alternately and repetitively occur within a predetermined second time interval.
