    Abstract: A tool assembly includes a variable angle tool that has first and second drive members with respective first and second axes. The second drive member is moveably connected to the first drive member so as to form a variable angle therebetween. The assembly also includes a fixed angle holder that has a first support member, a second support member, and a bridge. The first and second support members respectively rotatably hold the first and second drive members. The bridge is connected to and extends between the first and second support members such that the first and second drive members are held in a fixed position when the first and second drive members are held by the respective first and second drive members.

    Abstract: A joint replacement system that includes an acetabular cup implant that has an outer surface, a drill bit that has a cutting surface, and a guide separately formed from the acetabular cup implant. The guide has a body that defines first and second guide openings each adapted to receive the drill bit. The system also includes void filler prosthesis that has an implant facing surface and first and second portions connected to the implant facing surface. The first and second portions each have an outer surface that has a geometry corresponding to the cutting surface of the drill bit such that the first and second portions can be received in respective openings in a bone formed by the drill bit.

    Abstract: An assembly for attachment to a first implant component has a size and shape of a second implant component to be implanted together with the first implant component. The assembly includes a first body including a plug having a projection, and a second body including a recess having an internal surface defining at least one indentation. In a temporary configuration, when the plug is disposed within the recess and the projection is disposed at least partially within one of the at least one indentations, the first and second bodies are removably connected such that the first and second bodies are prevented from separating. A method of assembling the assembly includes removably connecting the plug of the first body into the recess of the second body by locating the projection within an indentation, such that the bodies are prevented from separating, and positioning the assembly on the first implant component.

    Abstract: A prosthetic implant assembly including a modified liner configured for fixation to an acetabular shell. The modified liner having a sheath and a liner. The liner is configured to be inserted into and affixed to the sheath. The sheath having an annular rim, a plurality of longitudinal ribs extending from the annular rim, and a cross-rib spaced apart from the annular rim and intersecting the plurality of longitudinal ribs. Each longitudinal rib of the plurality of longitudinal ribs is curved such that the plurality of longitudinal ribs collectively define a partially spherical surface. Additionally, the annular rim, the plurality of longitudinal ribs, and the cross-rib define a plurality of openings between the annular rim and the cross rib.
