    Abstract: A surgical referencing guide includes a body having a contact surface and a first foot extending away from the body. The first foot includes a first reference surface having a first area defined by a standard deviation of a first dataset extracted from a database and being comprised of a plurality of first data points each corresponding to an individual bone within a population of bones and each corresponding to a location of a preselected point on the bone within a predetermined coordinate system.

    Abstract: Articular features in a joint may be characterized by fitting equations to a series of control points representative of one or more articular features on a bone of the joint. The equations may be fit to the control points by use of a regression, such as a least squares regression. The fit equations may be used to create best fit curves for the articular features. Disease states may be accounted for in deriving the best fit curves from the fit equations. An articular implant may be constructed or selected to match the best fit curves.

    Abstract: A simulated anatomical joint includes a first artificial bone having a first articular surface, a second artificial bone having a second articular surface matable to the first articular surface to simulate a natural joint, and artificial ligaments connecting the first artificial bone to the second artificial bone. The artificial ligaments connect the first artificial bone to the second artificial bone such that the first articular surface is proximate to the second articular surface. The artificial ligaments connected to the first artificial bone and second artificial bone are adjustable to simulate stresses in a natural anatomical joint corresponding to the first artificial bone and second artificial bone.

    Abstract: A prosthetic knee implant system includes a prosthetic femoral component and a prosthetic tibial component. The femoral component includes a lateral condyle, a medial condyle, a bone-contacting surface that may be formed of porous metal, and an articular surface that may be formed of PAEK/PEEK. The tibial component includes medial and lateral condylar portions, a bone-contacting surface that may be formed of porous metal, and a second surface opposite the bone-contacting surface. Recesses extend a depth into the second surfaces of the medial and lateral condylar portions. Medial and lateral bearing inserts with flat proximal faces are positioned with the recesses of the medial and lateral condylar portions. Flexible medial and lateral meniscal components are positioned to surround the medial and lateral inserts, respectively, and extend proximal to the second surface of the insert.
