Abstract:
A method for the selective methanation of a gaseous mixture containing hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide with the carbon monoxide being present in an amount up to about 1 percent, which contemplates the contacting of said gaseous mixture with a Raney-type nickel catalyst containing from about 30-35 percent nickel, 5-18 percent aluminum, and balance Al2O3.3H2O; at elevated temperatures.
Abstract:
A catalyst of Ru metal, and alloys of Ru with Pt, beneficated with reduced amorphous tungsten oxide. The catalyst is particularly useful in the conversion of CO, CO2 or mixtures thereof to methane in the presence of hydrogen.
