Abstract:
A pattern transition information on whether a structurally stable flow pattern in whole or in part of a topological two-dimensional flow structure can transition to another structurally stable flow pattern via a structurally unstable flow pattern in an intermediate state is stored, and according to the pattern transition information, transition information on a transition route from a specified structurally stable flow pattern to another structurally stable flow pattern that can be topologically adopted is acquired.

A word representation device is provided with a storage, and a word representation generator, in which the storage stores a correspondence relationship between each streamline structure and a character thereof regarding a plurality of streamline structures forming the flow pattern, the word representation generator is provided with a root determination means, a tree representation forming means, and a COT representation generation means, the root determination means determines a root of a given flow pattern, the tree representation forming means forms a tree representation of the given flow pattern by repeatedly executing processing of extracting a streamline structure of the given flow pattern, assigning a character to the extracted streamline structure, and deleting the extracted streamline structure from an innermost portion of the flow pattern until reaching the root, and the COT representation generation means converts the tree representation formed by the tree representation.

There is provided a flow pattern regular expression creating method, a regular expression creating apparatus, and a program enabling provision of a new representation method enabling one-to-one correspondence to a flow pattern. A regular expression creating method of creating a regular expression of a flow pattern in a multiply connected exterior domain with N (N is an integer equal to or larger than 1) holes topologically includes a graph representation creating step of creating a graph representation having one-to-one correspondence to the flow pattern; and a regular expression creating step of creating a regular expression from the graph representation that is created at the graph representation creating step.
