Abstract: An embodiment of a User Equipment (UE) for supporting a communication with IRS in communication networks is disclosed. The UE is configured to receive configuration signal from a network device for configuration of a set of trigger points. Based on the set of trigger points, the UE is configured to detect one or more pilot signals from an IRS controller corresponding to the IRS, and perform measurement of one or more parameters. The UE is configured to transmit a first set of information to the network device based on the detected one or more pilot signals and the measurement of the one or more parameters and receive one or more instructions, for executing a handover procedure for network communication from the network device to the IRS, based on the transmitted first set of information.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiment of network device includes one or more processors coupled to a memory storing a set of instructions which when executed by the one or more processors cause the network device to: receive, from an IRS manager, a scheduling data request. The one or more processors further causes the network device to transmit, to the IRS manager, responsive to the received scheduling data request, a scheduling data response and receive, from the IRS manager, an IRS resource command, wherein the IRS manager transmits the IRS resource command responsive to the scheduling data response. Further, the one or more processors causes the network device to transmit to an IRS controller associated with the IRS, the received IRS resource command, wherein IRS controller is configured to allocate the IRS resources to each of the plurality of UEs based on the IRS resource command.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a system and method for offloading user equipments and as such, unicast and/or broadcast/multicast content of the user equipments from one broadcast/multicast system to another broadcast/multicast system and vice versa based on multiple criteria. The system collects one or more data parameters from the user equipments in a first network system, identifies a number of the user equipments to be offloaded based on the one or more data parameters, determines whether the identified number of the user equipments meet one or more offloading criteria, and triggers offloading of the identified number of the user equipments from the first network system to a second network system. The system facilitates switching the network system seamlessly without any manual intervention of users and provides continued broadcast/multicast services.

Abstract: Embodiments of a sixth generation (6G) network device in communication with one or more Intelligent Reflecting Surface (IRSs) and one or more UEs are disclosed. In an embodiment, the 6G network device includes one or more processors coupled to a memory storing a set of instructions which when executed by the one or more processors cause the network device to compute IRS tilt information associated with the one or more IRSs based at least in part on one or more of signal-to-noise-plus-interference ratio (SINR) information, Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) information, and Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ) information received from the one or more UEs. The one or more processors further cause the network device to communicate the computed IRS tilt information to the one or more IRSs via a network interface, wherein the IRS tilt information is used to control one or more operational aspects of the one or more IRSs.
