Abstract:
This invention relates to a method of and a mobile device (10) for presenting an information item. Said mobile device can be a personal digital assistant, a palm top, a cell phone or a mobile phone. Said method including the steps of: retrieving an identification of at least one of user gear and apparel; determining a mode reflecting at least one attribute of identified gear and apparel and optionally sending the mode with an identification of said mobile device to a service provider; determining and presenting (13, 15) the information item dependent on said mode. Said method further includes the steps of: receiving a first message from a caller sent to said mobile device; determining a second message dependent on said mode, when said first message is received; and sending the second message to the caller as a response to said first message. Said method's step of determining a second message includes the steps of: sending the mode with an identification of said mobile device to a service provider; and determining the second message based on the received mode and the identification of said mobile device on the service provider. Said method further comprises the step of modifying at least one attribute of gear and apparel. This enables that an unpleasant or a dangerous situation of the mobile device emitting irritating sound or coming up with an intense, flashing coloured display is solved since said mode only presents what is convenient for the user. Further the mobile device or the service provider can automatically without user interaction respond to a call.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of obtaining positional information of a mobile phone carrier and linking the positional information to position specific multimedia content, such as photos or audio. The method is performed by detecting the position information of the mobile phone and linking the position information to the position specific multimedia content.
Abstract:
There is described a method of indicating a signal characteristic in a communication system comprising a first communication apparatus (10) coupled in wireless communication with a second communication apparatus (80). The method is distinguished in that it includes steps of: (a) receiving one or more wireless transmissions (60) at the second apparatus (80); (b) analysing the one or more wireless transmissions (60) as received at the second apparatus (80) to determine at least one characteristic of the one or more wireless transmissions (60); (c) generating at least one return signal including information describing the at least one characteristic and communicating said at least one return signal from the second apparatus (80) to the first apparatus (10), and (d) receiving the at least one return signal at the first apparatus (10) and presenting said at least one characteristic to at least one user (90) of the first apparatus (10).
Abstract:
A method of predicting input of electronic objects in a communication device is described. The method includes the steps of: (a) establishing a first database of electronic objects susceptible to being inserted into multimedia messages composable on the device; (b) establishing a second database of electronic object attributes; (c) establishing one or more associations between at least one object of the first database and at least one corresponding attribute of the second database; (d) receiving from a user of the device a request for inclusion of one or more of the objects into a multimedia message, said request including at least one input argument; (e) matching said at least one input argument with said at least one attribute in the second database and thereby identifying one or more objects corresponding to the at least one input argument and its associated at least one attribute; and (f) presenting to the user a display representation of said one or more objects corresponding to said at least one argument.
