Abstract:
A far end remote control method and system by a short message and Bluetooth function operation are used to control output/input devices at a far end. The system mainly comprises a cellular phone, controlling device and controlled devices. Here, the method comprises the following steps: first, a cellular phone transmits a short message control command to a controlling device through a cellular phone network; the controlling device searches a controlled device appointed in the command; the controlling device builds a Bluetooth Serial Port Profile connection with the controlled device after the appointed controlled device is found; the controlling device transmits the short message control command to the controlled device through the connection; the controlled device controls an output or input device after receiving the command; the controlled device transmits an execution result back to the controlling device; the controlling device reports the execution result back to the cellular phone by a short message; the controlling device disconnects the connection with the controlled device and waits for a next control command after the report is completed. Thereby, the control range can be expanded to the all places in the world that the cellular phone is applicable. And, the controlled device can built a temporary network with the controlling device, the structure will not be changed even if the number of the controlled devices is increased or decreased.

The present invention relates to a method for showing a caller's mood index in a cellular phone, which comprises the steps of establishing a mood index database in the cellular phone, storing the caller's birth month and day in the cellular phone, checking the caller's mood index according to a caller's birth month and day and current date by inquiring a mood index database stored in the cellular phone, and finally, displaying a picture representing the caller's mood index on the screen of the cellular phone. The present invention also relates to a cellular phone displaying caller's mood index on a screen thereof. Therefore, the cellular phone according to the present invention can be more interesting on phone communication.

A cellular phone is used to transmit a short message preset by a cellular base station through an Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) function to activate or stop accepting a function for making inquiry about the position of a cellular phone user. A user of another cellular phone sends a USSD brevity code to the base station to inquire where is the cellular phone user now; the inquiry is refused if the position inquiry acceptation is stopped. If the position inquiry acceptation is activated, the base station uses a positioning technology to calculate a position coordinate of the inquired cellular phone user. And then, the base station compares the position coordinates with a location data in a position coordinate database stored in a computer of the base station and transfers the location to a closest address and then to inform the inquirer by a short message.

Abstract:
A telemetry method and system is mainly used to transmit a short message from a short message from a data center to a far-end controlled device through a cellular phone net. The far-end controlled device starts to search all meter reading reporter devices around it after it receives the short message, and then, builds a Bluetooth connection with each meter reading reporter device to read the readings. Thereafter, the far-end controlled device reports all the readings to the data center after they are all read. Thereby, a new wireless net needs not to be built so that a telemetry cost can be cut down.
