Abstract: A polyester resin composition includes: (A) polycyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate (PCT) resin which is a polymer of terephthalic acid and cyclohexanedimethanol, wherein the cyclohexanedimethanol has a trans/cis isomer ratio of about 2.3 or more; (B) a white pigment, wherein the white pigment is titanium dioxide; and (C) inorganic fillers, wherein the inorganic fillers are glass fibers. A molded article formed from the polyester resin composition can exhibit improved mechanical properties and moldability, and thus can be suitable for light emitting diode (LED) reflectors.

Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition comprises: about 100 parts by weight of a polycarbonate resin; about 3 parts by weight to about 20 parts by weight of a rubber-modified aromatic vinyl copolymer resin; about 12 parts by weight to about 28 parts by weight of talc having an average particle size of about 8 μm to about 20 μm and a blackness degree L* of less than about 90; about 5 parts by weight to about 20 parts by weight of acicular inorganic fillers; and about 10 parts by weight to about 30 parts by weight of a phosphorus flame retardant. The thermoplastic resin composition can have good properties in terms of light shielding, impact resistance, dimensional stability, flame retardancy, balance therebetween, and the like.

Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention comprises: approximately 100 parts by weight of a polycarbonate resin; approximately 0.1-5 parts by weight of a rubber-modified aromatic vinyl-based copolymer resin; approximately 0.1-7 parts by weight of zinc oxide; approximately 0.01-2 parts by weight of a C10-20 alkyl phosphate; approximately 0.01-2 parts by weight of a maleic anhydride-graft polymerized rubber polymer; and approximately 0.01-2 parts by weight of a phosphite-based antioxidant, wherein the zinc oxide has an average particle size of approximately 0.5-3 μm, a specific surface area BET of approximately 1-10 m2/g, a 2θ value as the peak position, of 35-37°, in X-ray diffraction analysis, and a crystallite size, represented by relation 1, of approximately 1,000-2,000 Å. The thermoplastic resin composition has excellent antibacterial properties, weather resistance, impact resistance, heat resistance and the like.

Exemplary compositions include polycyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate (PCT) resin; titanium oxide; a core-shell structured impact modifier obtained by grafting methyl (meth)acrylate to the polydimethylsiloxane rubber core; and an ethylene-methacrylate copolymer. The thermoplastic resin composition is usable for the production of molded article as a reflector or reflector cup for a LED (light-emitting diode) that maintains reflectance at elevated temperature.

Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention comprises: a polycarbonate resin; a rubber-modified vinyl-based graft copolymer; a large particle size rubbery polymer having an average particle size of about 400 to about 1,500 nm; an aromatic vinyl-based copolymer resin; a phosphorus-based flame retardant; talc; wollastonite; a maleic anhydride grafted rubbery polymer; and a black pigment. The thermoplastic resin composition is superior in terms of adhesion to metal, strength, flame retardancy, fluidity, and appearance.

Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition comprises about 100 parts by weight of a polycarbonate resin; and about 0.5 parts by weight to about 3 parts by weight of polystyrene-poly(methyl methacrylate) copolymer particles, wherein the polystyrene-poly(methyl methacrylate) copolymer particles include about 41 wt % to about 59 wt % of polystyrene and about 41 wt % to about 59 wt % of poly(methyl methacrylate) and have an average particle diameter of about 3 μm to about 9 μm and a coefficient of variation (CV) of about 20% to about 40%. The thermoplastic resin composition can have good properties in terms of light transmission, light diffusion and balance therebetween.

Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition according to the present invention comprises: about 100 parts by weight of a polycarbonate resin; about 5 to about 15 parts by weight of a first rubber-modified vinyl-based graft copolymer in which a monomer mixture is graft-polymerized to a rubber polymer, the monomer mixture containing an aromatic vinyl-based monomer and a cyanovinyl-based monomer; about 2 to about 8 parts by weight of a second rubber-modified vinyl-based graft copolymer in which an alkyl (meth)acrylate-based monomer is graft-polymerized to a rubber polymer; about 0.5 to about 2 parts by weight of a siloxane copolyester; about 17 to about 40 parts by weight of talc; and about 13 to about 23 parts by weight of a phosphorus-based flame retardant, wherein the weight ratio of the first rubber-modified vinyl-based graft copolymer to the second rubber-modified vinyl-based graft copolymer is about 1:0.15 to about 1:0.8, and the weight ratio of the combined weight of the first rubber-modified vinyl-based graft copolymer and the second rubber-modified vinyl-based graft copolymer to the siloxane copolyester is about 1:0.03 to about 1:0.1. The thermoplastic resin composition is excellent in terms of impact resistance, hardness, mar resistance, flame retardancy, physical property balance thereof, and the like.

The thermoplastic resin composition can exhibit good properties in terms of flame retardancy, chemical resistance (post-plating impact resistance), impact resistance, heat resistance, and balance therebetween.
