Abstract: An electric generator comprising a rotor housing; a rotor mounted in the rotor housing, with two opposed main faces; permanent magnets circumferentially arranged in front of one of the main faces of the rotor; coils circumferentially arranged in front of the other one of the main faces of the rotor; the rotor being configured for, upon rotation, vary a magnetic flux through the coils produced by the permanent magnets, so as to generate electromotive forces in said coils; wherein the coils are arranged outside of the rotor housing. Also a valve for gas cylinder, equipped with a corresponding electric generator.

Abstract: An aspect of the present invention pertains to a method for determining the volumetric flow rate of a compressible fluid flow flowing through a volume flowmeter having a flow inlet, a wheel downstream of the flow inlet and a constriction downstream of the flow inlet and upstream of the wheel, the compressible fluid flowing through the flow inlet and actuating the wheel. The method comprises measuring the rotational speed of the wheel and determining the permanent pressure loss across the wheel based on the measured rotational speed. The method further comprises measuring the fluid pressure of the compressible fluid flow at the flow inlet and determining whether the compressible fluid flow in the volume flowmeter is in the subsonic or in the supersonic regime based on the determined permanent pressure loss and the measured fluid pressure. The method also comprises measuring the fluid temperature of the compressible fluid flow at the flow inlet and determining the volumetric flow rate of the compressible fluid flow based on the determined permanent pressure loss, the measured fluid pressure, the regime of the compressible fluid flow and the measured fluid temperature. Other aspects of the present invention pertain to volume flowmeter for determining the volumetric flow rate of a compressible fluid flow, a data processing device for controlling a volume flowmeter, a computer program for the controller and a computer-readable medium having stored thereon the computer program.

Abstract: A post-discharge plasma coating device for a wired substrate comprising an inner tubular electrode on an inner tubular wall for receiving the substrate and a precursor moving axially in a working direction; an outer tubular electrode coaxial with, and surrounding, the inner tubular electrode. Abstract: A system for incubating one or more cells and/or organotypic cultures for biological investigation, in particular for toxicology assessment, comprising a bio-incubator and a pressure system fluidly connected with the bio-incubator. The pressure system is a cyclic gas pressure system configured for cyclically varying the gas pressure in the bio-incubator between a negative pressure and a positive pressure compared to the atmospheric pressure, so as to reproduce the pressure conditions in lungs of a living mammal. The system is remarkable in that the cyclic gas pressure system comprises a feedthrough with a pipe configured to deviate the air influx from the one or more cells and/or organotypic cultures.
