Abstract:
A printhead is provided having an elongate support having a plurality of internal webs protruding from a base section to define a plurality of parallel fluid supply channels, a shim supported by the support and defining a plurality of rows of openings through which fluid from respective supply channels is supplied, and a plurality of elongate printhead modules supported serially on the shim. Each module defines a plurality of fluid supply passages through which fluid passes to fluid ejection nozzles from respective rows of the openings. Either end of each module defines complementary formations such that adjacent modules nest together.
Abstract:
An inkjet printhead assembly includes: a plurality of printhead segments arranged in two parallel rows in a staggered overlapping arrangement; and a slotted shield plate positioned relative to the printhead segments. Each of the printhead segments is exposed through the slotted shield plate.

Abstract:
An inkjet printhead assembly includes: an elongate ink supply structure having a plurality of longitudinally extending ink supply channels corresponding to a plurality of different colored inks and a plurality of outlet openings; and a plurality of individual printhead modules arranged along a length of the ink supply structure. Each printhead module includes: a carrier having a plurality of inlets for receiving ink from a respective set of the outlet openings, a mounting surface having a plurality of ink supply slots defined therein and a plurality of converging walls extending from the inlets towards the ink supply slots, the converging walls defining a plurality of converging ink galleries for supplying the plurality of different colored inks. A printhead segment is bonded to each mounting surface, the printhead segment receiving the different colored inks from the plurality of ink supply slots.
Abstract:
A removable printhead assembly for a single-pass inkjet printer. The printhead assembly comprises: an elongate body adapted for removal and insertion in a cradle of the printer; an ink manifold assembly having a mounting surface defining a plurality of ink outlets; a plurality of printhead chips mounted on the mounting surface; one or more pressure regulator assemblies for delivering ink to the printhead chips at a predetermined backpressure; and a plurality of electrical terminals positioned along a length of the body for establishing electrical connection with a printer controller of the printer. The electrical terminals extend along one side of the elongate body, which is perpendicular to the mounting surface.

Abstract:
An inkjet printhead assembly includes a manifold assembly and a print chip. The manifold assembly includes an ink passage having an ink outlet and an air passage having an air outlet. The print chip is attached to part of the manifold assembly and is positioned for receiving ink from the ink outlet of the ink passage. The air outlet is offset from the print chip and is configured for delivering a flow of air laterally across the print chip.
