Abstract:
The present invention relates to improved cooling of an electronic component loaded to a Printed Circuit Board, wherein the PCB comprises at its upper side at least one electronic component, and at least one Heat Conducting Member inserted into a through-hole of the PCB, wherein the HCM extends from the upper side to the lower side of the PCB and has a thermal contact to the component.
Abstract:
For determining a jitter value for a digital data signal, a jitter histogram determined for the digital data signal is substantially approximated using n normal distribution functions. The two outermost normal distribution functions are determine, and the jitter value is derived from a distance between the mean values of the two outmost distribution functions.
Abstract:
To avoid wind noises and to reduce soiling of mirror glass during travel in the rain, the exterior rear view mirror for a motor vehicle has a droplet channel in a first circumferential region of the mirror housing that includes the housing top and a separation edge in a second circumferential region on the housing bottom. The droplet channel and the separation edge overlap in a lateral region. Rain droplets that strike the mirror housing during travel flow both on the bottom housing side and on the top housing side toward the rear edge of the housing. Water droplets flowing on the bottom are collected by the separation edge and are blown away by the air flow which is directed down at the separation edge. On the housing top side, the droplets are collected by the droplet channel and conducted away laterally toward the housing bottom.
Abstract:
Determining a jitter property of a signal with a repetitive bit sequence of a plurality of bits includes setting a sample point at a first sampling position relative to a first transition within the bit pattern, assigning a set of digital values to comparison results of the digital signal with a threshold at the set sample point for a plurality of repetitions of the bit sequence, determining a distribution value on the base of the sum of the assigned digital values, shifting the sample point by a time increment, iteratively repeating determining the distribution value until the sample point has reached a second sampling position, determining from the distribution values a distribution function over the sample points, and determining the jitter property by using the distribution function.
Abstract:
The invention relates to noise signal generator, comprising a random word generator for generating a sequence of random words, each word representing an input value, a mapping unit for receiving the sequence of random words, mapping each input value to an output value of according to a probability distribution function, and providing a corresponding sequence of output values, and a digital-to-analog converter for generating a noise signal based on the output values.
Abstract:
An outside rear view mirror for vehicles, particularly passenger cars, includes at least one mirror base fastened to the vehicle, a mirror head which can be swivelled relative to the mirror base, an intermediate member whose one end is connected in a hinged manner by way of a first swivel axis with the mirror base, and whose other end is connected in a hinged manner by way of a second swivel axis with the mirror head. At least one spring element extends transversely with respect to the swivel axes and which, in the driving position of the outside rear view mirror, presses the mirror head against the mirror base. So that, in the driving position of the outside rear view mirror, the mirror head can be held in position at the mirror base by simple devices in a stiff and play-free manner, it is provided that a centering detent device effective in at least two planes is disposed between the mirror head and the mirror base. In a driving position of the outside rear view mirror, the mirror head is connected only by way of the detent device and the at least one spring element in a force-transmitting manner with the mirror base.
Abstract:
A cooler for electric and/or electronic components with a cooling body including a first flat outer wall and a second flat outer wall at a certain distance from each other and each creating a cooling area. There are cavities between the outer walls on the inside of the cooling body, creating a cooling channel connecting an inflow with an outflow through which a liquid cooling agent can flow. The cooling channel between inflow and outflow runs completely on the inside of the cooling body, and the cooling body is made up of a first part and a second part. The first part has the first outer wall, and at least the first part has a first set of indentations on a first inner wall opposite to the first outer wall, and wherein those indentations are closed off by the second part on the wall opposite of the first outer wall when the cooling body is assembled, thus creating the cooling channel. The course of the cooling channel and/or the arrangement of the cooling section or the cooling sections in the respective application case for which the cooler was designed is adapted to the cooling needs at the first outer wall and/or the second outer wall.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle has an exterior rearview mirror, which is fixed to a vehicle door by a mirror baseplate. An opening, through which the mirror baseplate engages, is provided in an outer skin of the vehicle door, and the mirror baseplate is secured by a multi-point support and a central attachment screw. The mirror baseplate contains, at its free end, a conical attachment which engages in an opening of a door shaft reinforcement, formed as an extruded profile part, a hollow profile part, or a profiled sheet-stamped part, of the vehicle door, as a result of which the exterior rearview mirror is pre-positioned in a positionally correct fashion in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The mirror baseplate is additionally supported on the door shaft reinforcement by a five-point support.
