    Abstract: A non-contact jetting dispenser, viscous fluid dispensing system and method. The system includes a viscous fluid dispenser for dispensing the viscous fluid. The system further includes a viscous fluid supply container adapted to hold the viscous fluid. A flow path is provided for the viscous fluid between the viscous fluid supply container and an outlet of the viscous fluid dispenser. An electronic flow meter device is used to produce electrical output signals proportional to the flow rate of the fluid flowing through the flow path. A control is operatively coupled to the electronic flow meter for continuously receiving and processing the electrical output signals and performing a responsive control function in a closed loop manner.

    Abstract: Methods and systems of accurately dispensing a viscous fluid onto a substrate. In an embodiment, a method includes using an electronic flow meter device to produce electrical flow meter output signals and performing a responsive control function in a closed loop manner by adjusting at least one dispensing parameter to correct for a difference between an output data set and a reference data set. In another embodiment, a system includes a control operatively coupled to a gas flow meter device and to a weigh scale allowing for a density of an amount of viscous material to be determined.     Abstract: A method of calibrating the jetting profile includes applying voltage to a piezoelectric actuator to move a valve closure structure between non-impact and impact positions, sensing the position of the valve closure structure, establishing a reference point using voltage and position data, and using the reference point to adjust the voltage applied. Another method uses a mechanical stop to calibrate a jetting system. This method includes applying voltage to the piezoelectric actuator to move the valve closure structure between non-impact and impact calibration positions, sensing the position of the valve closure structure, generating voltage and position calibration data, establishing a master reference point using this data, and using the master reference point to determine wear of at least one of: the piezoelectric actuator and the valve closure structure. Another method of operating a jetting system includes the user inputting information into a control component. Another method involves using voltage data and the position data relating to a piezoelectric actuator for preventative maintenance of one or more components of the jetting valve.

    Abstract: A dispensing system for dispensing a fluid material onto a substrate includes a jet dispenser configured to receive the fluid material therein, the jet dispenser having a jet cartridge operably connected thereto, the jet cartridge being configured to receive the fluid material from the jet dispenser and having a nozzle through which the fluid material is discharged towards the substrate; a camera configured to acquire a digital image of the jet dispenser; and a controller having a memory and a processor. The processor is configured to: identify, on the digital image of the jet dispenser, an identified pattern of features present on the jet dispenser; compare the identified pattern with a stored pattern, the stored pattern being stored in the memory; calculate the similarity between the identified pattern and the stored pattern; and provide an identifier value associated with the stored pattern.
