Abstract:
An apparatus for backing up a digitally stored image includes a substrate on which the image and digital restoration data corresponding to the digitally stored image are printed on the substrate. The apparatus may be scanned to restore the image printed thereon to its original digital form.
Abstract:
A user provides a plurality of video frames for processing, and selects a cartoon color palette. The color of all selected pixels within all selected video frames is changed to that of the closest match in color within the cartoon color palette and is stored in a memory. Optionally, the user may create a custom cartoon color palette, and may select less than all of the pixels in any given video frame for processing.
Abstract:
A projection screen for use in a projection system is described. In an embodiment of the present invention, a projection system includes a projector and a projection screen. The projector is configured to project an image composed of visible light in one or more ranges of wavelengths. The projection screen has a plurality of sub-pixels that reflect and/or transmit the one or more ranges of wavelengths to display the image and absorb visible wavelengths of light in at least one other range not included in the one or more ranges. One or more spaces are defined between adjacent sub-pixels that reflect and/or transmit the one or more ranges and the at least one other range.
Abstract:
A method of creating an ensemble of visible color reference patches first adds a set of starting colors to a queue. The process then finds a candidate color within a color selection zone that is furthest away from colors existing in the queue. This candidate color is then selected by placing it in the queue. The steps of finding and selecting are repeated until a target number of selected colors is reached. The process then generates visible color patches of the selected colors for forming the ensemble.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a system and method for dynamic color correction of an imaged object. According to one embodiment, an image containing an object and color chart is received. The color chart includes a range of color values, while at least one feature and an associated correctable color value is determined from the imaged object. Furthermore, a target color value substantially corresponding to the correctable color value is identified. Based on the identified target color value, the correctable color value associated with the feature is then corrected.
Abstract:
A method and a system for lexical navigation of a corpus of items are provided. For example, the method may include generating a data structure in a non-transitory, computer readable medium. The data structure may include a number of items, a number of keywords, and a frequency that each of the keywords is associated with each of the items. The method may further include generating a top-level lexical cloud that includes a subset of the keywords. Each keyword in the subset may be associated with a size that is proportional its frequency of occurrence. Finally, the method may include generating a plurality of lower-level lexical clouds by eliminating any one of the plurality of items not associated with a particular one of the keywords from the data structure, and generating the lower level lexical cloud as a second subset of the plurality of keywords that remain in the data structure.
Abstract:
A method and system for generating dynamic catalogs representative of the preferences of a customer. In an illustrative implementation, the system comprises a user interface into which a user enters a query indicative of the product or products of interest. The query is processed using an electronic search engine, typically accessible via the internet. The search engine returns the results, which are then compiled to create a catalog. The catalog is then delivered to the user.
Abstract:
An identification mark may have a calibration color, a predetermined authentication color, and a predetermined difference between the calibration color and the predetermined authentication color that is associated with a product; and a visual code with a mechanism that identifies the predetermined difference.
Abstract:
A method for producing a customized print includes determining a color of at least one feature of an object, where the object is imaged with a reference color chart. A color palette is selected based on the at least one determined feature color and a print is generated based on the selected color palette. A system for producing a customized print is also described.
Abstract:
A system and method is disclosed for publishing collaboration. The method discloses: defining a publishing project requiring work product from a set of contributors; associating selectively editable project elements with the contributors; and storing the work product associated with the project elements in a project repository, which is accessible to all of the contributors. The system discloses a server configured to operate a series of modules, wherein the modules comprise: a decomposition module and a project permissions module for associating selectively editable publishing project elements with work product generated from a set of contributors; and a project repository for storing the work product associated with the project elements in a project repository, which is accessible to all of the contributors.
