Abstract: Provided is a light detecting device including: a light path branching unit that branches a single detection light path of fluorescence from a specimen, into a plurality of branched light paths; a plurality of light detectors that are provided to the respective branched light paths branched by the light path branching unit and that include an SSPD or Geiger mode APD to detect the fluorescence; and a signal adder that generates a single image signal in accordance with the detection signals outputted from the plurality of light detectors.

Abstract: A superconducting single-photon detection system includes: a plurality of optical transmission paths through each of which a photon emitted from a light source is transmitted; a plurality of superconducting single-photon detectors (hereinafter referred to as “SSPDs”) that are independent of each other and in one-to-one correspondence with the optical transmission paths; and a superconducting logic circuit that multiplexes first pulse signals output from the SSPDs. A photon entry time at which the photon enters each of the SSPDs through a corresponding one of the optical transmission paths is different for each of the optical transmission paths, and a difference in the photon entry time between the optical transmission paths is greater than a pulse width of a corresponding one of second pulse signals output from the superconducting logic circuit.

Abstract: A photon detection device according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a superconducting photon detector array in which a plurality of superconducting photon detectors (SPDs) are arranged; a plurality of first transmission lines connected to the plurality of SPDs and configured to transmit a detection current output from each of the plurality of SPDs; an address information generation circuit connected to the plurality of first transmission lines and configured to generate, based on the detection current, an address information signal that specifies a superconducting photon detector from which the detection current is output; a second transmission line magnetically coupled to all of the plurality of first transmission lines; and a time information generation circuit connected to the second transmission line and configured to generate, based on the detection current, a time information signal indicating a time at which a photon is incident on the plurality of superconductive photon detection SPDs.
