    Abstract: Method for treating aqueous effluents, comprising the following steps: a) simultaneously feeding the aqueous effluents into at least two basins comprising at least one upstream basin and at least one intermediate basin in the flow direction of the aqueous effluents, the basins being in fluid connection and in series with one another; b) biologically treating, in a fluid bed, the aqueous effluents to be treated in the at least two basins; c) transferring at least one portion of the biologically treated aqueous effluents to a de-aerator; d) de-aerating the biologically treated aqueous effluents in the de-aerator; e) recirculating at least one portion of the de-aerated aqueous effluents to at least the upstream basin and preferably the at least two basins.
