    Abstract: A communication system includes a central cloud server that detects the presence of an active sync path at each of a first edge device and a second edge device, where the first edge device is arranged at a first location at a vehicle and the second edge device is arranged at a second location of the vehicle. The central cloud server further determines a dominant edge device and a non-dominant edge device from the first edge device and the second edge device. The central cloud server further elects the determined dominant edge device from the first edge device and the second edge device to service one or more user equipment (UEs) in the vehicle, which improves performance in terms of data throughput and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of one or more UEs present in the vehicle by effectively controlling cooperation between two edge devices arranged in the vehicle.
