Abstract: A device for measuring and monitoring heart rate, respiration rate, and oxygen saturation of a subject is disclosed, which includes a biometric sensor board having a photosensor adapted to measure reflectance of red and infrared lights off skin tissue, wherein the biometric sensor board adapted to control one or more light emitting diodes (LEDs), wherein brightness of the LEDs are automatically adjusted to account for skin tone, thereby generating photoplethysmographic data, a processor unit adapted to analyze data measured by the biometric sensor board, and a display adapted to display results of the processed data remotely.

Particularly this present invention relates to a wearable device, such as a wristwatch or ring, for real time measuring heart rate, respiration conditions, and oxygen saturation.
