    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Multiple transmitting user equipments (UEs) may send sidelink data transmissions. Receiving sidelink UEs may map sidelink feedback interlaces corresponding to detected sidelink data transmissions to sidelink feedback resources of a common sidelink feedback symbol according to an interlace mapping rule (e.g., defining which contiguous or non-contiguous frequency resources the UE is to use for transmitting sidelink feedback for the received sidelink data messages). The receiving UEs may map one or more replicas of initial interlaces of sidelink feedback resources to additional available resources of the sidelink feedback resources in the common feedback symbol.

    Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a UE to switch between feature data extraction models in order to provide adaptive feature data of dynamic, potential LOS obstacles for improved beam blockage prediction performance (or other functions) at the network node. Initially, the network node receives first feature data from a UE based on a first data extraction model of the UE. The network node transmits a message instructing the UE to switch from the first data extraction model to a second data extraction model of the UE based on a state of the UE. In response to the message, the UE determines to switch from the first data extraction model to the second data extraction model and transmits, to the network node, second feature data based on the second data extraction model. The network node may then determine a beam blockage prediction in response to the second feature data.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Wireless devices may be configured to support techniques for bi-directional discontinuous reception (DRX) alignment and centralized DRX alignment. In the context of bi-directional DRX alignment, DRX configurations at two respective user equipments (UEs) are first established in a first direction, and then DRX configurations are then established in the reverse direction based on the previously-established DRX configurations. In particular, DRX configurations in the reverse direction may be selected such that the Uu and sidelink DRX configurations are aligned at the respective UEs and across the UEs. Comparatively, in the context of centralized DRX alignment, a master base station receives “candidate” Uu and sidelink DRX configurations for multiple UEs, and selects Uu and sidelink DRX configurations for each UE from the sets of candidate DRX configurations in order to ensure DRX alignment across the respective UEs.

A transmitting user equipments (UEs) may transmit a sidelink indication signal including a sequence (for example, wakeup signal or go-to-sleep signal) for a receiving UE to determine whether to monitor for scheduling sidelink control information (SCI) messages in one or more sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) on durations that overlap in time. The receiving UE may determine (for example, based on an initial value in the sequence, the resource on which the sequence was received, among other examples) a location of an on duration, and may perform a DRX operation (for example, may wake up or may go to sleep) during the on duration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may estimate one or more channel availability parameter values. The UE may then select, based on a co-channel configuration indicating a relationship between channel availability parameter values and patterns of sidelink resources, a pattern of sidelink resources (e.g., LTE resources) on which to transmit NR packets. In some examples, a special UE may receive individual or aggregated reports of channel availability parameter values. The special UE may select a pattern of sidelink resources (e.g., LTE resources) on which one of the reporting UEs is permitted to transmit NR packets, and may transmit a message activating the pattern of sidelink resources to the reporting UE. The reporting UE may then use the activated sidelink LTE resources for transmitting NR packets according to the indicated pattern.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may configure one or more user equipments (UEs) with one or more timers, such that the UEs may switch directions for a communication mode for the duration of a timer and during a discontinuous cycle. The UEs may activate the timers and may perform the switching operation during the active duration of a discontinuous cycle. A UE may transmit a sidelink message during a transmission on duration (TX-On). The UE may activate a timer and switch to a receive mode. Similarly, the second UE may receive the sidelink message during a reception on duration (RX-On) and may activate the timer. The second UE may switch to a TX-On mode for an on duration of a TX-On cycle to transmit a sidelink response.
