Abstract:
Methods and systems of the present invention allow for hosting a remote computer or server in a hosting provider's data center. An exemplary method may comprise the steps of resolving a registrant's domain name to access a remote computer or server via client software on a client. The remote computer or server may be storage area networked with additional computers and may access additional software via cloud computing.
Abstract:
A system and method of proxy domain name registration permits a would-be domain name registrant anonymity. A registrar affords customers the opportunity to use the proxy registration. If the customer seeking registration of a domain name requests, the registrar obtains contact information needed for registration from a proxy entity established for this purpose. The registrar completes the registration of the domain name with the appropriate registry (i.e. “.com, .net” etc.). The contact information published in WHOIS is that of proxy entity. Contractually the customer is afforded control over the domain name. Emails intended for the customer are received by the proxy entity who may filter them if the customer requests. Emails sent by the customer are sent to the proxy entity who in turn sends them to the indicated addressee.
Abstract:
The invention integrates the functions of a Web based email system and a document storage manager on a Web site by including a Web site storage area used to store files that may then be accessed by both functions. In one embodiment, a user on a client may access a Web site and transmit emails with attached files via a Web based email system where the attached files were organized and managed by a document storage manager. In another embodiment, the user on a client may access and manage files via a document storage manager where the files were received as attachments to emails by a Web based email system.
Abstract:
Apparatus suitable for use with teletext display apparatus which is arranged to operate in a plurality of display modes, including a graphic display mode, in response to digital coded control signals, and to display in each mode digital coded data signals which provide the display information for the viewer. The digital coded control signals are interspersed among the digital coded data signals, with the result that no display information is normally available when a digital coded control signal is present, but the apparatus is so arranged that, in the graphics display mode, the digital coded, data signal which arrived immediately before the digital coded control signal is held over, and used to fill in the blank space that would correspond to the presence of the digital coded control signal. `Hold over` is effected by arranging that a current data signal is held in a data store, and that the stored data is pushed out only by a subsequent data signal.
Abstract:
Methods of the present inventions allow for providing a preferred domain position on a registration website. An exemplary method may comprise the steps of receiving data from registrars regarding a domain administered by a registry, generating a quality score for the domain based upon the data, and providing the quality score to requesting entities.
Abstract:
The present inventions may be implemented by tools enabling preferred domain positioning on a registration website. An example may comprise a computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by a server, cause the server to receive a request (comprising a bid and the domain) seeking such preferred placement, generate a quality score for the domain, determine the preferred placement based upon the bid and the quality score, and transmit a response (comprising the preferred placement) to the request.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for an Entrepreneur to start an Internet business by creating an Entrepreneur's web site using tools provided at a Facilitator's web site. The method allows the Entrepreneur to access the Facilitator's web site, register a desired available domain name, trademark the domain name, design an Entrepreneur's web site accessible via the domain name, design a similar appearing store front web site to handle commercial transactions, copyright the Entrepreneur's web site, offer hosting services for the Entrepreneur's web site and submit the Entrepreneur's web site to one or more search engines. Tremendous synergies may be achieved and serious pitfalls avoided in creating the Internet business by receiving overall guidance and assistance from one web site, i.e. a Facilitator's web site, in performing these processes.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to immunoassay methods for detecting and measuring the amount of an analyte in a sample by means of generic anti-hapten antibodies. Also disclosed are multi-analyte immunoassay methods. Reagents, devices, and kits using the anti-hapten antibodies are also disclosed. The present invention also relates to dyed erythrocytes, preferably fixed, which are coated with antibodies. Also disclosed is the use of these dyed erythrocytes in agglutination assays to detect and measure the presence of an analyte in a sample. The analyte can be a hapten, an antigen, or an antibody. Also included are agglutination assays, compositions and kits using these dyed and coated erythrocytes.
Abstract:
A grain cleaner having a plurality of cleaning sections radiating outwardly from a grain inlet. Each cleaning section has upper and lower downwardly sloped screens over which grain flows by gravity to sift out fine foreign material. Upper and lower foreign material chambers underlie respective screens, and external bypass ducts bypass foreign material from each upper chamber to an associated lower chamber of each cleaning section. Each lower foreign material receiving chamber communicates with a centrally located foreign material discharge outlet at the bottom of the cleaner.
Abstract:
In a Teletext transmission system, data is transmitted in digital form during lines in the field blanking period of a composite video signal of a television transmission. On reception, the information is decoded and utilized to provide a display comprising a page having a predetermined number of rows of information in alphanumeric or graphics form. The data is received in blocks comprising information digits and each block has an associated group of address digits so that each block can be directed to an appropriate storage location in a first store, regardless of the order in which the data blocks are transmitted. The contents of the first store can then be transferred in address order into a larger capacity serial store ready for use in generating the display. Thus it is possible for a number of pages of information data to be correctly assembled in serial row order, ready for display generation, in a manner accommodating non-transmitted blank rows.
