    Abstract: A vehicle includes an outer glass pane, an outer laminated layer, an inner laminated layer, and one inner glass pane, wherein a PDLC layer stack is arranged between the outer and inner laminated layers, the PDLC layer stack formed by a) an outer polymeric carrier layer, b) an outer electrically conductive layer, c) a PDLC layer, d) an inner electrically conductive layer, and e) an inner polymeric carrier layer, wherein at a lateral section of the PDLC layer stack, the inner electrically conductive layer protrudes together with the inner polymeric carrier layer, and at another lateral section of the PDLC layer stack, the outer electrically conductive layer protrudes together with the outer polymeric carrier layer, and a busbar is arranged in each case on the protruding inner electrically conductive layer and the protruding outer electrically conductive layer.

    Abstract: A composite pane, includes a laminated stacking sequence composed of an outer pane having an exterior-side surface and an interior-side surface, an inner pane having an exterior-side surface and an interior-side surface, and at least one thermoplastic intermediate layer that joins the interior-side surface of the outer pane to the exterior-side surface of the inner pane, wherein a solar protection coating is applied directly to the interior-side surface of the outer pane, which coating substantially reflects or absorbs rays outside the visible spectrum of solar radiation, in particular infrared rays, a thermal-radiation-reflecting coating is applied directly to the interior-side surface of the inner pane, and the thermoplastic intermediate layer has a printed opaque layer in at least one region.

    Abstract: A projection assembly for a head-up display (HUD), includes a windshield with an HUD region, inner and outer panes joined via a thermoplastic intermediate layer, and a projector directed at the HUD region having a radiation predominantly p-polarized. The windshield has a reflection coating for reflecting p-polarized radiation. The reflection coating has exactly one electrically conductive layer based on silver. A lower dielectric layer or layer sequence with a refractive index of at least 1.9 is arranged below the electrically conductive layer. An upper dielectric layer or layer sequence with a refractive index of at least 1.9 is arranged above the electrically conductive layer. The ratio of the optical thickness of the upper dielectric layer or layer sequence to the optical thickness of the lower dielectric layer or layer sequence is between 2.10 and 3.20. The reflection coating includes no dielectric layers with a refractive index less than 1.9.
