Abstract: The electronic device of the present invention may comprise: a first antenna and a second antenna; a communication circuit; and a processor electrically connected to the first antenna, the second antenna, and the communication circuit. The processor is configured to: control the communication circuit such that a first signal is output to the first antenna; acquire a second signal corresponding to the first signal reflected from the first antenna, and a third signal corresponding to the first signal output through the first antenna and received by the second antenna; identify a reflection coefficient at which the first signal is reflected from the first antenna, and a transmission coefficient at which the first signal is transmitted to the second antenna; and perform a designated function according to a value corresponding to a distance between the electronic device and an external object.

Abstract: A method may include switching to a first mode based on identifying that a condition for activating the first mode for transmitting and receiving a signal in a first frequency band is satisfied, converting, using an RFIC in the first mode, data to be transmitted to an external electronic device into a first signal in a second frequency band, mixing the first signal with a second signal in a third frequency band using a first mixer in an RF circuit connected to the RFIC to generate a third signal in the first frequency band, and amplifying, using a PA in the RF circuit, the third signal based on a set gain to generate a fourth signal, and transmitting the fourth signal to the external electronic device using at least one antenna.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes an antenna, a transmission path electrically connected to the antenna and including at least one amplifier, a transceiver connected to the transmission path and converting a signal, a feedback path connected between the transmission path and the transceiver, at least one processor connected to the transceiver and communicating with at least one external electronic device by using the transceiver, and a memory connected to the at least one processor. The processor may obtain first information about a first phase and a first magnitude, which are associated with the first frequency, and second information about a second phase and a second magnitude, which are associated with a multiplied frequency of the first frequency, from the transmission signal and the reflection signal using the transceiver, and may determine a state of the electronic device based on the first information and the second information.

Abstract: Disclosed is an antenna module, which include a first antenna element, a second antenna element, and a communication module that includes a first transmit path and a first receive path connected with the first antenna element, a second transmit path and a second receive path connected with the second antenna element, and a detection circuit connected with at least a part of the second receive path. The communication module may output a specified signal by using the first transmit path and the first antenna element based at least on obtaining a request for identifying a state of the antenna module from an external device, may obtain the output specified signal by using the second receive path and the second antenna element, may identify an intensity of the obtained specified signal by using the detection circuit, and may determine whether the antenna module is abnormal, based at least on the intensity of the obtained specified signal. Moreover, various embodiment found through the present disclosure are possible.
