Abstract: Techniques for dynamically filtering data streams are disclosed. In some embodiments, a computer system performs a method comprising: obtaining one or more metrics of a cloud computing environment, the cloud computing environment including a data source, a data consumer, and a network, the data source configured to transmit data to the data consumer via the network; determining a filtering rule based on the one or more metrics, the filtering rule corresponding to a data filtering operation that modifies data transmissions; and configuring a filter adapter of the data source to apply the data filtering operation of the filtering rule to the data transmissions from the data source to the data consumer.

The computer system may receive a request for additional data of the file from the client, with the request comprising a parameter value for the filter parameter(s), and then generate a requested version of the file based on the request, including at least a portion of the data of the file in the requested version based on the parameter value. The computer system may then send the requested version of the file to the client component.

Abstract: Techniques and solutions are provided for identifying relationships between data objects. In particular, the present disclosure provides techniques that can identify data objects that are related to data objects in a lineage graph, as well as being useable to identify relationships between existing lineage graph data objects. A lineage data object is compared with a candidate data object. For example, attribute types, attribute values, or information regarding such attribute types or values can be compared between the lineage data object and the candidate data object. If it is determined that a relationship criterion is satisfied, a relationship can be established or suggested between the lineage data object and the candidate data object. A display is rendered that displays a lineage graph with the relationship between the lineage data object and the candidate data object. A user can define an edge between the lineage data object and the candidate data object.

Abstract: Edge devices can provide large amounts of data, only some of which may be relevant to a downstream system. In addition, edge device data may need to be processed, including being enriched with additional data, before being used by the downstream system. Disclosed techniques provide an edge agent that receives edge device data, including sensor data. The edge agent performs processing on the edge device data, which can include operations such as filtering and aggregation, as well as enriching the edge device data with values for attributes in addition to attributes and associated values that are present in edge device data sent from the edge device to the edge agent. The use of the edge agent and its associated actions can reduce a data volume sent to the downstream system, as well as making the edge device data more immediately useable by the downstream system.
