Abstract:
Diisophorone derivatives and ultraviolet radiation-screening compositions containing the diisophorone derivatives have been prepared and are described. Stable compositions comprising insecticidally active cyclopropane carboxylic acid compounds such as pyrethrinoids which are degradable by ultraviolet radiation and diisophorone derivatives which are resistant to decomposition by ultraviolet radiation are described. The ultraviolet radiation-screening properties and the resistance to degration by ultraviolet light of the diisophorone derivative are shown. The stabilization of cyclopropane carboxylic acid compounds and the synergizing effects of diisophorone hydrazone on the insecticidal activity of pyrethrinoids are demonstrated.
