Abstract:
Disclosed systems and methods automatically assess claims. A device may receive one or more images of a claimed object, such as a building or vehicle, compare the images to reference images and generate an estimate of financial damages to the object. The device may then generate a claim assessment based on previous comparisons and generated estimates. The claim assessment may be sent directly to a client or to an agent for review and/or processing.
Abstract:
A mobile computing device that facilitates efficient and convenient processing of an insurance claim. The mobile computing device can receive text, image, and audio data associated with the insurance claim. Using the received data, a model of the user's vehicle and the scene of the accident are generated and displayed on the mobile computing device. Damaged portions of the user's vehicle can be identified automatically or by the user. Damage can be tagged using the mobile computing device and additional data can be provided by the user and associated with each tag. The mobile computing device can be used to provide a preliminary claim assessment, submit a completed insurance claim application to an insurance provider, and/or process the insurance claim.
Abstract:
A computer program product for processing an insurance claim application, the computer program product having a computer-readable storage device with computer-readable program instructions stored therein for: initiating an insurance claim application; receiving user data associated with the insurance claim, the user data including an image; generating a model of a scene of the insurance claim using the user data; generating a model of an user's vehicle associated with the insurance claim using the user data; analyzing the model of the user's vehicle to identify a damaged portion of the user's vehicle and a claim element; analyzing at least one of the user data, the model of the scene, the model of the user's vehicle, the damaged portion of the user's vehicle, and the claim element to determine whether the insurance claim application satisfies a processing criteria. The computer program can submit a completed insurance claim application to an insurance provider, and/or process the insurance claim.
Abstract:
The method and system may be used to control the movement of a remote aerial device in an incremental step manner during a close inspection of an object or other subject matter. At the inspection location, a control module “stabilizes” the remote aerial device in a maintained, consistent hover while maintaining a close distance to the desired object. The control module may retrieve proximal sensor data that indicates possible nearby obstructions to the remote aerial device and may transmit the data to a remote control client. The remote control module may determine and display the possible one or more non-obstructed directions that the remote aerial device is capable of moving by an incremental distance. In response to receiving a selection of one of the directions, the remote control module may transmit the selection to the remote aerial device to indicate the next movement for the remote aerial device.
Abstract:
In a computer-implemented method and system for capturing the condition of a structure, the structure is scanned with a three-dimensional (3D) scanner. The 3D scanner generates 3D data. A point cloud or 3D model is constructed from the 3D data. The point cloud or 3D model is then analyzed to determine the condition of the structure.
Abstract:
A tethering system for a remote-controlled device comprising a tether line having a first end adapted to be connected to a ground support and a second end adapted to be connected to the remote-controlled device. The system further includes an anchor-point disposed between the first and second ends of the tether line, the anchor point having an eyelet for securing the tether line and allowing the tether line to slide through the eyelet during use. The anchor-point and eyelet enable the tether line to flex or bend and the remote-controlled device to maneuver one or more of over or around the target area without interfering with any nearby obstructions.
