Abstract: This invention relates to novel liquid tertiary diamides having the following structural formula:

WHEREIN N O-10 R -(CH2)m-CH3 wherein M 4-12 One such diamide is N,N''-2,2,5,5-tetramethylhexamethylene-N,N''dimethylpelargonamide. The diamides have utility as heat transfer fluids and plasticizers.
