    Abstract: A method for controlling a battery includes obtaining a present status parameter of the battery, and determining, according to the present status parameter, a discharge protection parameter. Status parameters within different ranges correspond to different discharge protection parameters. The discharge protection operation includes an under voltage protection. The method further includes determining, according to the discharge protection parameter and the present status parameter of the battery, whether to perform the discharge protection operation on the battery, and in response to determining to perform the discharge protection operation, performing the under voltage protection on the battery by disconnecting a discharge circuit for a load from the battery.

    Abstract: A method for managing a battery of a mobile platform includes transmitting first initial battery data from a storage device of the battery to an onboard battery management system (BMS) of the mobile platform that is configured to monitor a first status of the battery and generate first updated battery data, receiving the first updated battery data in a sequential manner or in a parallel manner from the onboard BMS at the storage device, transmitting second initial battery data from the storage device to a charger BMS of a battery charger that is configured to monitor a second status of the battery and generate second updated battery data, and receiving the second updated battery data in a sequential manner or in a parallel manner from the charger BMS at the storage device.

    Abstract: A movable platform includes one or more propulsion units configured to provide a driving force to the movable platform and a control unit operatively coupled to the one or more propulsion units. The control unit is configured to: communicate with a plurality of batteries adapted to supply current to the one or more propulsion units; obtain one or more electrical characteristics of each of the plurality of batteries; and determine, based on the electrical characteristics, a controlling signal to set a power supply state for at least one of the plurality of batteries.

    Abstract: A battery includes a battery cell and a battery management system including a first interface configured to charge and discharge the cell, a second interface configured to charge the cell, and a controller communicatively coupled to the first and second interfaces. One end of the first interface is configured to be coupled to an external power supply or a UAV, and another end of the first interface is coupled to the cell. One end of the second interface is configured to be coupled to the external power supply, and another end of the second interface is coupled to the cell. The controller is configured to, when the first and second interfaces are electrically coupled to the UAV and the external power supply, respectively, control a circuit between the first interface and the cell and a circuit between the second interface and the cell to be closed.
