    Abstract: A window molding apparatus includes an upper mold, a lower mold under the upper mold, and a side mold under the upper mold and adjacent to at least one side of the lower mold. The upper mold includes a first surface, the lower mold includes a second surface having a portion facing the first surface, and the side mold includes a third surface. The first surface includes a first flat surface and a first bent surface extending from the first flat surface, the second surface includes a second flat surface facing the first flat surface and a second bent surface extending from the second flat surface, and the third surface includes a third bent surface contacting one end of the first bent surface and facing the second bent surface.

    Abstract: A vacuum thermoforming apparatus including: a molding machine on which a window base material is mounted; and a pressure supply machine coupled to the molding machine and configured to supply a pneumatic pressure toward the molding machine. The molding machine includes a mounting part having a curved surface-shaped mounting surface, and a coupling part having a structure for coupling with the pressure supply machine and a curved portion along the shape of the mounting part. The pressure supply machine includes: a cover part facing the mounting surface; and a side wall extending from the cover part to define an inner space in the pressure supply machine, the side wall having a curved upper surface so as to engage with the coupling part.

    Abstract: Methods of manufacturing a curved cover window of the disclosure prevent or reduce damage to a window substrate of the curved cover window. Methods include manufacturing methods in which a hard coating layer is formed on a window substrate, and optionally molding the window substrate on which the coating layer is formed in a manner as to minimize or reduce breaking or damage to the window substrate. By using a hard coating layer which is harder than the window substrate and which may include a first polycarbonate layer, a second polymethyl methacrylate layer, and polysilsesquioxane; and thermally molding the window substrate and hard coating layer at a temperature of about 120° C. to about 130° C. and for about three minutes to about five minutes; rupture of the window substrate during the molding process can be reduced.
