    Abstract: A method includes transmitting, via a transceiver, radar signals for object detection. The method includes determining whether a moving object is detected using received reflections of the radar signals corresponding to a current radar frame. In response to a determination that no moving object is detected using the current radar frame, the method includes determining whether a moving object is detected using received reflections of the radar signals corresponding to multiple radar frames. The method also includes generating a detection result indicating that (i) no moving object is detected using the multiple radar frames or (ii) the moving object is detected using either the current radar frame or the multiple radar frames.

    Abstract: A method includes obtaining a stream of radar data into a sliding input data window composed of recent radar frames from the stream. Each radar frame within the data window includes features selected from a predefined feature set and at least one of time-velocity data or time angle data. The method includes, for each radar frame within the data window, receiving a binary prediction indicating whether the radar frame includes a gesture end. The method includes in response to the binary prediction indicating that the radar frame includes the gesture end, triggering an early stop (ES) checker to determine whether an ES condition is satisfied. Determining whether the ES condition is satisfied comprises determining whether a noise frames condition and a valid activity condition are satisfied. The method includes in response to a determination that the ES condition is satisfied, triggering a gesture classifier to predict a gesture type.

    Abstract: An electronic device and methods for performing beam management (BM) in systems with antenna arrays capable of operating in combined radar and communication modes are disclosed herein. The electronic device comprises a processor and a plurality of antenna elements configured to operate in a first mode, in which the antenna elements are used for communications with beamforming, and a second mode, in which at least two of the antenna elements are used for radar and the remainder are used for the communications. The processor is configured to perform a mode switch on the antenna elements to switch between the first mode and the second mode, determine, after the mode switch, a new beam to use during a first BM cycle, perform, using the new beam, the first BM cycle to obtain signal quality measurements, and perform a second BM cycle using an updated beam based on the signal quality measurements.

    Abstract: A method for warning a wearer of a pacemaker against potential electromagnetic interference by a radar-aided mobile device is provided.     Abstract: A method for allocating power of an electronic device, includes generating a power budget indicating an amount of available power for signal transmission and reception. The method also includes determining whether to prioritize communication signals or radar signals for allocating the available power of a battery. In response to a determination to prioritize the communication signals, the method includes allocating a first portion of the available power for the communication signals and a second portion of the of the available power for the radar signals. In response to a determination to prioritize the radar signals, the method includes allocating the first portion of the available power for the radar signals and the second portion of the of the available power for the communication signals. The method further includes transmitting the communication signals and the radar signals based on the allocation.
