Abstract:
A system for generating and processing synthetic and absolute real time remote environments for interaction with a user and her biological senses is comprised of seven modules. These modules store, retrieve and process data to generate an output which interfaces with the system user's biological senses. These modules also track user data to accurately place the user in the generated and processed model. Various embodiments of the system user sensory interface are provided including visual and aural input devices and a three dimensional chamber having interactive tactile output via matrix-addressed, electromechanically operated rods driving a flexible skin.
Abstract:
A method of operating a Smartphone or other mobile handheld wireless computerized communications device outside of a normal cellular network. The method can be useful for either reducing cellular phone costs, or alternatively when the cellular phone infrastructure is degraded or absent. In such situations, the Smartphone operates in an alternative peer-to-peer wireless network mode, supplemented by optical network links as needed. The method can utilize standard Smartphone functionality such as Bluetooth or WiFi transceivers, light sources, and video cameras, and may be implemented in the form of a standard Smartphone App. The invention may establish a Gnutella-like peer-to-peer networking protocol between nearby Smartphones, and can extend the length of the peer-to-peer network connections by way of longer distance optical links. In alternative embodiments, various Smartphone peripherals can be added to extend the functionality of the peer-to-peer network still further.

Abstract:
A message broadcast system and method are provided. In one aspect of the present invention a central controller is provided for receiving message data containing personal identification data (e.g., email address, postal address, phone number, etc.) and for automatically controlling preselected marketing warehouse database systems to remove data matching the personal identification data from the database systems. In another aspect of the present invention, the central controller receives message data containing information request data and automatically broadcasts the message data to preselected database systems based on the specialized nature of the information request so that these database systems disperse information requested in the information request. In both aspects, the system of the present invention can be appropriately adapted to communicate over a network server, and also, to permit financial transactions between the central controller and a user to take place over the network server.

Abstract:
Cassette based systems and methods of hydrogen storage, distribution, and recovery are disclosed. A cassette or other container may contain a hydrogen storage or storing material. Information may be stored in the material and subsequently read or accessed. A probe may be used to interrogate the material. The hydrogen content or other characteristics of the material may be determined based on the interrogation. A hydrogen dispensing unit may contain a depleted cassette acceptor to accept depleted cassettes and a charged cassette dispenser to dispense charged cassettes. The dispensing unit may be implemented in a hydrogen retail store or as a standalone unit. The retail store or the unit may connect to a hydrogen network and implement various business methods, as disclosed herein.
