Abstract: A touch panel system includes a touch panel including a drive electrode, a position detection electrode, and a pressure detection electrode, and a controller configured to impart a drive signal to the drive electrode and acquire a signal value from each of the position detection electrode and the pressure detection electrode. The controller is configured to detect a touch range by a pointer based on the signal value obtained from the position detection electrode, determine a pressure detection range corresponding to the touch range, of the signal value obtained from the pressure detection electrode, and calculate a magnitude of a pressure by the pointer based on the signal value in the pressure detection range.

Abstract: A touch panel system includes a touch panel and a controller. Abstract: A tactile sensation presenting device includes a tactile sensation presenting section and a control section. The tactile sensation presenting section includes anodic and cathodic electrodes. The control section can switch each anodic electrode between a first state (anodic potential) and a second state (floating potential) and can switch each cathodic electrode between a third state (cathodic potential) and a fourth state (floating potential). The control section controls the tactile sensation presenting section such that at least any one of the anodic electrodes is in the first state, with the others in the second state, at least one of the cathodic electrodes at least within a distance of 1.0 mm or less from the first-state anodic electrode is in the fourth state, with the others in the third state, and a total area of the first-state anodic electrode and the third-state cathodic electrodes is equal to or greater than 0.7 cm2.
