Abstract:
A liquid crystal display (LCD) capable of hiding a defective pixel and a hiding method thereof applicable for a display mode of a liquid crystal display screen are provided. The method comprises firstly providing a substrate, detecting and recording the address data of all defective pixel dots of the substrate, and interrupting the display signal of defective pixel dots in response to the address data of the defective pixel dots.
Abstract:
A method of controlling the contrast of a display apparatus including the following steps is provided in the present invention. First, the brightness distribution ratios of an image signal are compiled and the backlight brightness of the display apparatus is adjusted according to the brightness distribution ratios of the image signal. The contrast of the display apparatus is thereby adjusted in the method disclosed in the invention.
Abstract:
A method for controlling the contrast of a display apparatus is provided. The method includes following steps. The invention compiles the brightness distribution of the image signal and adjusts at least the contrast ratio and/or the brightness in the on-screen display (OSD) configuration of the display apparatus according to the brightness distribution of the image signal. Thus, the contrast of the display apparatus is adjusted.
Abstract:
A computer executable image quality detection system is provided, which comprises: a scaling symmetry testing unit, for testing the image scaling symmetry of an image signal; a luminance/chroma testing unit, for testing the separation of luminance and chroma of the image signal; a de-interlace testing unit, for testing the dynamic movement of the image signal; a color bar testing unit, for testing the color purity distinction of the image signal; a luminance compensation testing unit, for testing the Gamma compensation of the image signal; and a high/low frequency testing unit, for testing the high frequency and low frequency signal presentation of the image signal. By simultaneously executing the respective testing units, the producers' procedure and time for developing and testing are simplified and shortened.
Abstract:
A method and system for adjusting the luminance of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) is provided, which operates in a BIOS of a liquid crystal screen in a computer-executable way. A plurality of sets of time-luminance values of the CCFL is stored in the BIOS. First, the image quality of the liquid crystal screen is detected with a current image, and if the image quality is poor, a current time value and a current actual luminance value of the liquid crystal screen are then detected, and a plurality of sets of time-luminance values of the CCFL are searched, according to which the voltage of the CCFL is adjusted such that the current actual luminance value is adjusted accordingly. Therefore, by implementation of the method and system, the phenomenon of luminance reduction over time when using a liquid crystal screen with a CCFL is avoided.
Abstract:
A color calibration method and device used for a displaying device, which is used to first calculate the RGB signal level value of the RGB colors of the first color signal, and next obtain the color area corresponding to the RGB signal level value through calculation and search, and then obtain the corresponding gamma value by utilizing the color area, and subsequently, calibrate the first color signal by making use of the gamma value to generate a second color signal, thus realizing the process of calibrating the first color signal. Through the application of the method and device, the automatic calibration of the displaying device color signal can be achieved at low costs, hereby realizing the optimal image quality.
Abstract:
A device and method for examining and calibrating color temperature are provided for a color temperature examination/calibration station in a display product line. The color temperature examination/calibration station has a signal generator and a collection device. The signal generator is used to provide signals to the display, such that to carry out the color temperature can be examined and calibrated without inputting signals to the display by a computer system. The collection device is used to connect a plurality of displays with color temperatures to be calibrated to a computer system, such that the color temperatures of the plurality of displays can be examined and calibrated by the computer system at the same time.
