Abstract: Compositions and methods for control and/or modification of endogenous protein acetylation are described. The compositions are directed to heterobifunctional molecules having protein and enzyme binding moieties linked together by an organic linker group. The compositions are selective for binding to certain endogenous proteins and function to recruit acety lation enzymes to acetylate or deacety late the proteins.
