Abstract: A microfluidic chip includes a substrate, a barrier layer, and a cover layer. The barrier layer includes a resin material. The barrier layer is provided on the substrate. The barrier layer forms a channel section. The cover layer is provided on the opposite surface of the barrier layer to the substrate and covers the channel section. The channel section is formed in the barrier layer as an opening section having an opening width of 2000 μm or less. The barrier layer has an opening area ratio of 60% or less.
