Abstract: Provided is a gas barrier film having superior gas barrier properties even when an organic gas barrier layer is provided to the surface of a plastic film. The gas barrier film is provided with an organic gas barrier layer containing a 1,3,5-triazine derivative at least at one surface of the plastic film, and is characterized by the 1,3,5-triazine derivative having as a substituent group a group containing sulfur at position 2, 4, or 6.
