    Abstract: A non-gravitational fluid delivery device is provided for delivering fluid to an eye of a user. The device has a cartridge including a container and a cartridge head coupled to the container. The container defines an inner container chamber configured to accommodate a fluid. The head includes opposing first and second walls collectively defining both a nozzle and a nozzle opening extending through the nozzle. The first wall is at least partially formed from a deformable material. The second wall is at least partially formed from a rigid material. Fluid is selectively delivered from the fluid delivery device to the eye through the nozzle opening. The nozzle opening extends in a fluid delivery direction between the first and second walls. The nozzle opening is selectively transitioned between opened and closed conditions via selective manipulation of the first wall.

    Abstract: A fluid dispensing device includes a cartridge comprising a housing and a head coupled to the housing. The housing forms a first chamber configured to accommodate a fluid; and the head includes a nozzle; and an elastomeric wall that is spaced from the nozzle to form a holding chamber. The holding chamber is in fluid communication with the first chamber and configured to accommodate a portion of the fluid; and the nozzle forms one or more openings to eject the portion of the fluid from the holding chamber. The one or more openings form an oblong shape such that a length of the oblong shape is greater than a width of the oblong shape. The one or more openings can include two parallel slots that together form the oblong shape.

    Abstract: According to some aspects, a device is presented herein that is configured to be located underneath an eyelid and worn by a user for treating dry eye. The device includes a first surface configured to face a portion of a sclera of the eye, and a second surface configured to face an eyelid and to be completely covered by the eyelid. In some embodiments, the device further includes a plurality of stimulation electrodes proximal to the first surface, wherein the plurality of stimulation electrodes is configured to stimulate the sclera. The device further includes an energy storage element coupled to the plurality of stimulation electrodes. The energy storage element is configured to supply power to the plurality of stimulation electrodes. The device further includes a processor configured to control a supply of energy from the energy storage element to the plurality of stimulation electrodes to stimulate the sclera.

    Abstract: A nozzle for a fluid delivery device includes a nozzle head. The nozzle head defines an inner head chamber for a fluid. The nozzle head has at least one nozzle opening through which fluid is configured to be selectively delivered from the head chamber to a target site during use of the device.
