Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a catalyst ink formulation, said process comprising the steps of: (i) providing a mixture comprising a catalyst, an ionomer and water that has been subjected to ball milling; and (ii) subjecting the mixture to an ultrasonication step for a time period of from about 1 minute to about 1 hour.
