Abstract: The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions and methods of treating cancer in a subject, the method comprising administering to the subject a combination therapy comprising administering (1) at least one anti-cancer therapy, and (2) a pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and an amount of an IL-1α inhibitor, wherein the combination therapy is effective to reduce at least one symptom of the cancer in the subject.

Abstract: The invention provides in certain embodiments a therapeutic regimen comprising (a) an anti-cancer combination of vemurafenib and cobimetinib, or a combination of trametinib and dabrafenib, and (b) a secondary agent comprising L-buthionine-[S,R]-sulfoximine (BSO), or phenyl butyric acid (PBA) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and chloroquine or hydrochloroquine (HCQ) for the therapeutic treatment of a hyperproliferative disorder.
