    Abstract: Described are techniques for processing data. Sample analysis is performed generating scans of data. Each scan comprises a set of data elements each associating an ion intensity count with a plurality of dimensions including a retention time dimension and a mass to charge ratio dimension. The scans are analyzed to identify one or more ion peaks. Analyzing includes filtering a first plurality of the scans producing a first plurality of filtered output scans. The filtering including first filtering producing a first filtering output, wherein the first filtering includes executing a plurality of threads in parallel which apply a first filter to the first plurality of scans to produce the first filtering output. Each of the plurality of threads computes at least one filtered output point for at least one corresponding input point included in the plurality of scans. Analyzing includes detecting one or more peaks using the filtered output scans.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an assembly for mixing fluids (i.e., gases or liquids), and more particularly an assembly that accurately mixes two or more high-pressure fluid sources and is adapted for use in applications, such as for example, chromatography. The mixer assembly (100) includes, inter alia, a housing (10), an inlet fitting (40), and a mixer cartridge assembly (60). The housing (10) has a fluid receiving section (16) and a fluid discharge section (18) with an outlet (20) formed therein. A central bore (22) extends between the fluid receiving section (16) and fluid discharge section (18). An inlet fitting (40) is engaged with the housing (10) and has first (42) and second (44) fluid ports formed therein that extend from the fitting exterior to the fluid receiving section (16) of the housing (10). A mixer cartridge assembly (60) is disposed within the central bore (22) of the housing (10) and is positioned between the inlet fitting (40) and the downstream end portion of the housing (10). The mixer cartridge assembly (60) includes a body portion (64), a plurality of spheres disposed within a central mixing chamber (62) formed in the body portion (64), and mechanism for retaining the spheres in the mixing chamber (62).

    Abstract: Techniques are described for performing data compression of a first data set including data points in a plurality of dimensions. First processing is performed to determine a second set of final sums. For each data point in the first data set, a corresponding final sum of the second set is determined that is a sum of intensities associated with a first portion of data points, wherein the first portion of data points for which the intensities are summed for said each data point are included within a geometric shape centered on said each data point. Second processing is performed to determine a final set of final combined keep values. Each of the final combined keep values corresponds to a different one of the data points in the first data set and denotes whether to keep or otherwise remove the different one of the data points from the first data set.
