Abstract: This disclosure is directed toward systems and methods for monitoring patients in a clinical setting by using non-contact multimodal imaging. For example, based on receiving imaging data, a computing device may identify an object and a region of focus formed by the object. The computing device may then cause a sensor to capture first sensor data at a first time and second sensor data at a second time, wherein the sensor data is associated with the region of focus. Based on determining that a difference between the first sensor data and the second sensor data is greater than or equal to a threshold difference, the computing device may generate and send, to an additional computing device, an alert indicative of the second sensor data.

Abstract: A method for estimating blood pressure of a care recipient includes establishing a pre-maneuver reference value of blood pressure and a companion nonreference value of blood pressure, subjecting the care recipient to a maneuver, establishing a post-maneuver reference value of blood pressure and a companion post-manuever nonreference value of blood pressure, establishing an operational post-maneuver nonreference value of blood pressure, and adjusting the operational value as a function of the pre-maneuver and post-maneuver values. An associated apparatus includes a sensor, a processor and a memory which contains instructions. The instructions, when executed, cause the processor to estimate blood pressure as a function of a pre-maneuver reference value of blood pressure, a companion pre-maneuver nonreference value of blood pressure, a post-maneuver reference value of blood pressure, a companion post-manuever nonreference value of blood pressure, and an operational value of blood pressure based on information sensed by the sensor.

Abstract: An electrode includes separate first and second electrical contacts to contact the skin of a subject. A charge-holding structure is electrically connected between the first and second contacts. An indicator is operatively coupled to the charge-holding structure so that the indicator changes visibly in response to a change in the charge stored in the charge-holding structure. The electrode can include a rectifier across the contacts. A container for electrodes includes an electrical supply and a plurality of receptacles for electrodes so that a voltage difference is maintained across conductors of each receptacle (and contacts of an electrode therein) for at least one week. A method of making electrodes includes arranging the contacts over a support, connecting the charge-holding structure between them, arranging the indicator over the support, and charging the charge-holding structure so that the indicator has a first visual appearance.
