Abstract: A system for providing a clinical analysis of a subject is described. The system receives video data and audio data of the subject. The system extracts metadata from the video data and the audio data. The metadata includes an event, one or more parameters measured during the event, and a time stamp of when the event occurs in the video data and the audio data. The system generates an electronic medical record that includes a video display area for providing playback of the video data and the audio data, and a data stream area that displays one or more medically relevant events in the video data and the audio data. Selection of a medically relevant event causes the video display area to skip to a portion of the video data and the audio data where the medically relevant event occurs based on the time stamp in the metadata.

Abstract: Systems and methods for modifying power consumption of a wearable device are provided. The systems and methods include an imaging device, a directional antenna, and a power transmission device in combination with a wearable device. The imaging device, antenna, and power transmission device are positioned and re-positioned so that the wearable device is in the center of the field of view of at least one of the imaging device, antenna, and power transmission device. The systems allow for a decrease in the gain of the wearable device, decreasing power usage. The system may also allow for remote charging of the wearable device.

Abstract: A respiration monitor includes a multi-channel respiration sensor including a first electrode that is configured to measure a first capacitance signal transmitted along a first channel and a second electrode that is configured to measure a second capacitance signal transmitted along a second channel. The respiration monitor includes a processor configured to receive the first capacitance signal and the second capacitance signal, compare the first capacitance signal and the second capacitance signal to a respiration threshold, and determine which one of the first capacitance signal or the second capacitance signal is within the respiration threshold. The processor is further configured to, if one of the first capacitance signal or the second capacitance signal is outside of the respiration threshold, extrapolate only the first capacitance signal or the second capacitance signal that is within the respiration threshold to determine a tidal respiration volume.

Abstract: A system and method for identifying events occurring in a patient room during an interaction with a caregiver, generating, using a machine learning model, an event description based on video data from the patient room, and recording the description with annotations to the electronic medical record of the patient is described. The system and method use one or more cameras and/or sensors within a room of a patient to detect events and interactions and uses machine learning techniques to identify the events and extract notes for inclusion in the electronic medical record for tracking and providing care to a patient in a care facility

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting, by a substance delivery system coupled to a body part of an individual, an input signal not associated with a biological measurement of the individual, determining from the input signal, by the substance delivery system, whether delivering a dosage of a substance stored in the substance delivery system is needed and conforms to a dosage policy, and responsive to determining from the input signal that delivery of the dosage of the substance is needed and conforms to the dosage policy, initiating, by the substance delivery system, delivery of the dosage of the substance to the body part of the individual. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: An example device is configured to capture an image of a patient. The devices includes a camera configured to capture the image of the patient. The device further: captures contextual data associated with the image; allows a caregiver to select the image to be stored; forwards the image and the contextual data to a remote server for processing using artificial intelligence; and receives a proposed diagnosis from the remote server based upon the image and the contextual data.

Abstract: A method of determining a blood pressure of a patient includes determining a plurality of pressure pulses, wherein each pressure pulse of the plurality of pressure pulses comprises a profile having a maximum profile height. The method also includes determining a pulse score associated with the plurality of pressure pulses, wherein the pulse score is determined based on the profiles of the pressure pulses and the maximum profile heights. The method further includes determining that the pulse score is above a pulse score threshold, and generating, in response to determining that the pulse score is above the pulse score threshold, a pulse curve based on the maximum profile heights. The method also includes determining the blood pressure of the patient without completely occluding a blood vessel of the patient, wherein the blood pressure is determined based on a plurality of values corresponding to respective points on the pulse curve.

Abstract: A system for conducting an examination of the eyes of a subject includes an examination instrument which emits light at infrared wavelengths, and a shield. The shield provides shielding of the subject's eyes from visible wavelengths. At least a portion of the shield is transparent to the infrared wavelengths emitted by the examination instrument. A related method of conducting an eye examination on a subject includes the step of providing a shield which is transparent to infrared wavelengths but nontransparent to visible wavelengths. The method also includes the step of carrying out the examination with an instrument which is located on the examiner facing side of the shield and which emits the infrared wavelengths to which the shield is transparent. One variant of the method determines parameters relating to the subject's eyes and/or vision using only information considered to be valid, validity being based on the subject's pupil diameter.
