Abstract:
A painting system having a painting robot with a stationary base mounted to a wall of a paint booth in cantilever fashion. A stand is mounted to the stationary base and is rotatable around a first axis that is disposed substantially horizontal. A first arm is rotatably mounted to the stand around a second axis, and a second arm is rotatably mounted to the first arm around a third axis. The second arm is operable to rotate around the third axis 180 degrees relative to the first arm. An end effector is connected between the second arm and a painting tool. The end effector is operable to orient the painting tool.
Abstract:
A system for operating an electric machine and a method for protecting an operation control unit in such a system. The system includes an operation control unit, an alternating current cable connecting the machine with the operation control unit and an electric short-circuiting arrangement. This arrangement is connected to terminals of the operation control unit facing the cable and short circuits these terminals based on a detected overvoltage.
Abstract:
An insulation cover for a high voltage paint dosing apparatus, the apparatus comprising a docking head arranged to receive at least one dosing cylinder filled with paint for dosing to an applicator or gun. The docking head is arranged substantially-surrounded by the insulation cover and whereby the external surface of the insulation cover is partly covered by a conductive or non-insulating layer. A system comprising the paint dosing apparatus with the insulation cover is also described.
Abstract:
A method for detecting water breakthrough in a well production. A model, of which the accuracy is known, will receive three of the four following parameters: inlet pressure, inlet temperature, outlet pressure, outlet temperature. The model includes a three-phase flash model including heat of evaporation of water and partial pressure of water with or without dissolved components lowering the vapor pressure such as salt and/or alcohol. Based on the three parameters the model computes the fourth parameter, whereupon the actual fourth parameter is measured and compared to the computed fourth parameter. If the deviation between the measured and the computed parameter is considerably larger than that which can be explained from the level of confidence of the selected model and uncertainty of measurement, it can be concluded that a water breakthrough has actually occurred.
Abstract:
A power system for dynamic positioning of a vessel. The power system reduces fuel consumption, carbon buildup deposits and the risk of cylinder bore glazing while in combustion engine driven generators and provides an adequate protection against blackouts. The power system includes first and second combustion engine driven generators, a battery unit, and a converter unit arranged to provide power to the vessel from the battery unit. A first operational state of the power system in which the first combustion engine driven generator is arranged to deliver power to the vessel, and a second operational state, in which the first generator is subject to a fault, the second combustion engine driven generator arranged to deliver power to the vessel, and the converter unit is arranged to deliver power to the vessel during transition between the states.

Abstract:
A drive controller arranged to provide electrical power from a power supply to a machine or load over a long AC power cable of the order of kilometers. The drive controller is arranged with circuits and/or control processes to provide AC current at a constant ratio of voltage and frequency to said machine or load. The drive controller maintains voltage and frequency at the machine terminals despite fluctuations in voltage and/or frequency that would ordinarily be caused by the load. This is done by estimating the voltage and current at the machine terminals and adapting the drive controller output accordingly to actively vary the converter output dependent on the load of the machine or other load. In other aspects of the invention a method and a computer program for carrying out the method are described.
Abstract:
A method for providing maintenance to an electrical power generation, transmission and distribution system, and an information system and one or more computer program software means for carrying out same. A method to provide maintenance to an electrical power generation facility and/or an electrical power transmission and distribution network system operated by a Utility. Maintenance personnel visit a site to inspect a condition of said apparatus, and examine information from an Information System operated in co-ordination with a Help Desk. The method comprises further steps such as preparing a report of the apparatus with a mobile web camera, making a report comprising a graphic image of the condition of said apparatus, receiving at said Help Desk and Information System the report and graphic image from the inspector/repairman, finding stored information about said apparatus and/or said system in said Information System, comparing said stored information with the report and/or graphic image, the inspector/repairman making in consultation with the Help Desk an assessment of the condition of said apparatus and providing a recommendation such as a repair, a temporary repair or making a plan for a repair at a later time.
