Abstract: A beehive indoor-air alternate-working dehumidification system includes a fresh air dehumidification sterilization system. The fresh air dehumidification sterilization system includes a fan, a filter, a dehumidification apparatus, a moisture absorbing material, a plasma generator, a temperature and humidity sensor, a heater, and a three-way valve. A hexagonal prism beehive structure is used in a dehumidification apparatus, and a novel moisture absorbing material with high moisture absorption and high temperature sensitivity is used to dehumidify fresh air, to improve a dehumidification capacity and reduce dehumidification energy consumption. The plasma generator generates ions to sterilize and deodorize fresh air. The temperature and humidity sensor detects humidity of fresh air, determines whether the material needs desorption. The heater heats return air to enable the return air to desorb a saturated moisture absorbing material.

Abstract: A polymer composite article having retained solids is disclosed. The polymer composite article includes a composite region having a first porous polymer comprising a plurality of pores and the retained solids. The composite region has at least a portion of the retained solids immobilized within some of the pores. In embodiments where the retained solids are solid sorbent materials, the article is configured to receive carbon dioxide through the first porous polymer that can be adsorbed onto the solid sorbent.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a porous body having excellent adsorption performance, an adsorbent including the porous body, and a method of removing a metal and/or a metal ion from a liquid to be treated, with the adsorbent, and, in order to achieve the object, the present invention provides a porous body having a co-continuous structure formed by: a ceramic skeleton including mesopores; and macropores, wherein a surface of the ceramic skeleton is modified by a metal- and/or metal ion-adsorbable nitrogen atom-containing group, wherein the nitrogen atom-containing group is at least one selected from a primary amino group, a secondary amino group, a tertiary amino group, a quaternary ammonium group, an imino group, a nitrilo group and a nitrogen atom-containing heterocyclic group, and wherein an amount of the nitrogen atom-containing group contained in the porous body is 1.5 mmol/g or more and 5.4 mmol/g or less.

Abstract: A composite material of polyurethane foam having a layer of reduced graphene oxide and polystyrene is described. This composite material may be made by contacting a polyurethane foam with a suspension of reduced graphene oxide, drying, and then irradiating in the presence of styrene vapor. The composite material has a hydrophobic surface that may be exploited for separating a nonpolar phase, such as oil, from an aqueous solution.

Abstract: A method and system for manufacturing and using a self-supporting structure in processing unit for adsorption or catalytic processes. The self-supporting structure has greater than 50% by weight of the active material in the self-supporting structure to provide an open-celled structure providing access to the active material. The self-supporting structures, which may be disposed in a processing unit, may be used in swing adsorption processes and other processes to enhance the recovery of hydrocarbons.
