Abstract:
Aspects described herein may relate to a transaction exchange platform using a streaming data platform (SDP) and microservices to process transactions according to review and approval workflows. The transaction exchange platform may receive transactions from origination sources, which may be added to the SDP as transaction objects. As the transactions are received, the transactions may be analyzed to detect duplicate transactions and/or errors in the transactions. The transaction exchange platform may take steps to remediate transactions that are recognized as duplicates or predicted to generate one or more errors. Similarly, the transaction exchange platform may take steps to remediate transactions that are rejected by a clearinghouse.
Abstract:
Techniques are disclosed relating to automated operations management. In various embodiments, a computer system accesses operational information that defines commands for an operational scenario and accesses blueprints that describe operational entities in a target computer environment related to the operational scenario. The computer system implements the operational scenario for the target computer environment. The implementing may include executing a hierarchy of controller modules that include an orchestrator controller module at top level of the hierarchy that is executable to carry out the commands by issuing instructions to controller modules at a next level. The controller modules may be executable to manage the operational entities according to the blueprints to complete the operational scenario. In various embodiments, the computer system includes additional features such as an application programming interface (API), a remote routing engine, a workflow engine, a reasoning engine, a security engine, and a testing engine.

Aspects described herein may relate to a transaction exchange platform using a streaming data platform (SDP) and microservices to process transactions according to review and approval workflows. The transaction exchange platform may receive transactions from origination sources, which may be added to the SDP as transaction objects. As the transactions are processed, the transactions may require access to a resource (e.g., a key value in a database). A microservice processing the transaction may request, from a locking microservice, a lock for the resource. The locking microservice may query a local cache to determine whether a lock exists for the resource. If the local cache determines that no lock exists for resource, the locking mechanism may employ a consensus protocol to obtain a lock for the resource from a plurality of clusters. If consensus is reached, a lock for the resource may be granted to the requesting microservice.

Abstract:
This invention is a streaming engine employed in a digital signal processor. A fixed data stream sequence including plural nested loops is specified by a control register. The streaming engine includes an address generator producing addresses of data elements and a steam head register storing data elements next to be supplied as operands. The streaming engine fetches stream data ahead of use by the central processing unit core in a stream buffer. Parity bits are formed upon storage of data in the stream buffer which are stored with the corresponding data. Upon transfer to the stream head register a second parity is calculated and compared with the stored parity. The streaming engine signals a parity fault if the parities do not match. The streaming engine preferably restarts fetching the data stream at the data element generating a parity fault.
Abstract:
A transactional memory system determines whether to pass control of a transaction to an about-to-run-out-of-resource handler. A processor of the transactional memory system determines information about an about-to-run-out-of-resource handler for transaction execution of a code region of a hardware transaction. The processor dynamically monitors an amount of available resource for the currently running code region of the hardware transaction. The processor detects that the amount of available resource for transactional execution of the hardware transaction is below a predetermined threshold level. The processor, based on the detecting, saves speculative state information of the hardware transaction, and executes the about-to-run-out-of-resource handler, the about-to-run-out-of-resource handler determining whether the hardware transaction is to be aborted or salvaged.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for tracing instruction streams for a multi-threaded processor are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a last thread register configured to store a thread index that indicates a last executed thread, a tracing memory configured to store, within each of a plurality of storage locations, state information corresponding to a dispatch cycle for a multi-threaded processor, and a tracing control module configured to provide the state information to the tracing memory. The state information includes instruction information and a previous thread index. The state information may also include a flip bit that is used to determine a current insertion point within the tracing memory. A corresponding method is also disclosed herein.
Abstract:
A technique of operating a data processing system, includes logging addresses for cache lines modified by a producer core in a data array of a producer cache to create a high-availability (HA) log for the producer core. The technique also includes moving the HA log directly from the producer cache to a consumer cache of a consumer core and moving HA data associated with the addresses of the HA log directly from the producer cache to the consumer cache. The HA log corresponds to a cache line that includes multiple of the addresses. Finally, the technique includes processing, by the consumer core, the HA log and the HA data for the data processing system.
