Abstract: An object is to provide (I) a PHA powder which has (i) good redispersibility when the PHA powder is formed into a slurry and (ii) good film forming properties when the PHA powder is applied to slurry coating and (II) a method for producing the PHA powder. The object is attained by providing a PHA powder in which a composition ratio of a 3-hydroxybutyrate unit to a 3-hydroxyhexanoate unit is 80/20 to 91/9 (mol/mol), a moisture content is not more than 20%, and a circularity of a primary particle present at a surface of the PHA powder is not less than 0.92.

Abstract: This invention relates to providing a resin composition and a resin molded article having sufficient mechanical properties and thermal properties, and also having excellent wear resistance and moldability when in use. This invention provides a cellulose nanofiber-containing aqueous dispersion including (A) cellulose nanofibers, (B) a surface treatment agent, and water. In one embodiment, (B) a surface treatment agent has an HLB value of 0.1 or greater but less than 8.0. This invention provides a dispersion liquid including (B) a surface treatment agent, (D) a binder component, and water, wherein (B) the surface treatment agent is a water-soluble polymer having a hydrophilic segment and a hydrophobic segment, and having a number average molecular weight of 200 to 30,000, and (D) the binder component is polyurethane. This invention provides a cellulose nanofiber resin composition including (A) cellulose nanofibers, (B) a surface treatment agent, and (F) a thermoplastic resin.

Abstract: Provided is an oil-in-water-type emulsion composition which can be produced by directly emulsifying an organopolysiloxane having a high polymerization degree, contains substantially no oversized particle, and has a small average particle size. A method for producing the oil-in-water-type emulsion composition using a vertical batch mixer is also provided. The oil-in-water-type emulsion composition is an emulsion comprising (A) an organopolysiloxane having an overall viscosity of 1,000,000 mPa·s or more or having plasticity or a mixture thereof, (B) a surfactant, and (C) water. Component (A) is emulsified in water by the action of component (B), the average particle size of emulsion particles falls within the range from 0.1 to 7.5 μm, and the content of emulsion particles each having a particle size 10 times or more larger than the average particle size is less than 5.0 vol %.

Abstract: A method for producing a resin particle dispersion includes: preparing a phase-inverted emulsion by phase inversion emulsification of a resin using an organic solvent and an aqueous medium; and removing the organic solvent from the phase-inverted emulsion contained in a distillation tank by reduced pressure distillation. During the reduced pressure distillation, the rate of pressure reduction in an environment in which the pressure inside the distillation tank is equal to or higher than vapor pressure and equal to or lower than (the vapor pressure+5 kPa) when the concentration of the organic solvent in the phase-inverted emulsion is in the range of 30% by mass or less to 1% by mass or more is from 0.01 kPa/min to 0.5 kPa/min inclusive until the pressure inside the distillation tank reaches a preset reduced pressure for the reduced pressure distillation.
