Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform dyeing of fabric to elegant color having high color fastness by treating a formed fiber article with a metal salt mordant and immersing in a hydrosol of a noble metal having negative charge. CONSTITUTION:A formed fiber article consisting of a woven or knit fabric of silk or wool is treated with a metal salt mordant such as aluminum acetate or basic chromium oxide and then immersed in a hydrosol of a noble metal having negative charge (e.g., chloroauric acid or silver nitrate) to obtain the dyed fabric exhibiting characteristic elegant color tone of the noble metal.
