Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a dyed material rich in unconventional high-class feeling by printing a textile product with a resist size consisting of a thermally reversible high polymer and then dipping the textile product in a noble metal hydrosol containing a cationic surfactant above the phase transition temperature essential to the afore-mentioned resist size. CONSTITUTION:A textile product consisting of natural, synthetic fiber, etc., is printed with a resist size consisting of a thermally reversible high polymer, i.e., a high polymer (e.g., polyN-isopropylacrylamide) capable of phase transition from a hydrophilic (low temperature) to a hydrophobic phases (high temperature) with temperature in a state coexisting with water and the resultant textile product is then dipped in a noble metal hydrosol containing a cationic surfactant above the phase transition temperature essential to the afore-mentioned resist size to dye parts other than the above-mentioned printed part. The afore- mentioned size is subsequently removed with cold water below the phase transition temperature. The textile product is dyed to brown, violet or red color in the case of gold hydrosol and to yellow color in the case of silver hydrosol.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform dyeing of fabric to elegant color having high color fastness by treating a formed fiber article with a metal salt mordant and immersing in a hydrosol of a noble metal having negative charge. CONSTITUTION:A formed fiber article consisting of a woven or knit fabric of silk or wool is treated with a metal salt mordant such as aluminum acetate or basic chromium oxide and then immersed in a hydrosol of a noble metal having negative charge (e.g., chloroauric acid or silver nitrate) to obtain the dyed fabric exhibiting characteristic elegant color tone of the noble metal.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the dyeing in excellent resist printing effect by using a resist printing material composed of a film of a heat-sensitive polyacrylamide derivative exhibiting phase-transition between hydrophilic state and hydrophobic state with temperature in the presence of water. CONSTITUTION:A solution composed mainly of a heat-sensitive polyacrylamide derivative (e.g. poly-N-isopropyl acrylamide) exhibiting reversible phase-transition between hydrophilic state and hydrophobic state with temperature is formed in the form of a film of a resist printing material. The film is cut to a prescribed pattern and pasted on a cloth wet with water and the cloth is printed over the resist film and steamed (or dip dyed) at a temperature above the intrinsic phase-transition temperature of the heat-sensitive polymer. Color is developed by this process on the cloth except for the pasted part to attain an excellent resist printing effect leaving a clear white part on the cloth. Both faces of a cloth can easily be dyed in different colors by coloring the other face of the cloth by similar method.

CONSTITUTION:A textile product, such as silk or wool, is subjected to mordanting treatment with a metallic mordant and then printed with a resist size solution consisting of a thermally reversible high polymer, i.e., a high polymer (e.g., polyN-isopropylacrylamide) capable of phase transition from a hydrophilic (low temperature) to a hydrophobic phases (high temperature) with temperature in a state coexisting with water and the resultant textile product is then dipped in a noble metal hydrosol containing noble metal colloids having negative charge above the phase transition temperature essential to the afore- mentioned resist size to dye parts other than the above-mentioned printed part. The afore-mentioned size is subsequently removed with cold water below the phase transition temperature.
