Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition for preventing or treating diabetes containing sun dried salt and Perilla frutescens is provided to suppress protein tyrosine phosphatase(PTP1B) and alpha-glucosidase and enhance insulin activation in a cell. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating diabetes contains sun dried salt and Perilla frutescens extract as active ingredients. The Perilla frutescens extract is isolated using water, 50-100% of C1-C4 alcohol, ethylacetate, hexane, or dichloromethane. A food composition for preventing or relieving diabetes contains sun dried salt and Perilla frutescens extract as an active ingredient. A method for producing functional salt having effects of preventing and relieving diabetes comprises: a step of adding Perilla frutescens to water and heating at 80-100°C to extract Perilla frutescens; a step of adding salt to the extract; a step of stirring and heating; a step of concentrating; a step of collecting precipitate and drying.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing alpha-glucosidase is provided to prevent or teat diabetes without side effects. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating diabetes contains Salicornia gerbacea fermentation as an active ingredient. The Salicornia gerbacea fermentation fraction is prepared by adding Salicornia gerbacea fermentation using hexane.
