A four-wheel drive device using a motor(23) is composed of an alternator(15) connected with an output shaft of an engine(11) to generate an electric current; the motor driven by the electric current fed from the alternator to provide driving force for rear wheels; a battery(19) charged with electricity by the electric current of the alternator; a first relay(21) for switching a contact point between the alternator and the motor; and a second relay(17) for switching a contact point between the alternator and the battery. The electric current generated by the alternator is selectively supplied to the motor or battery.
