Abstract: A CGI cast iron is provided to have the various variable properties through the change of the matrix tissue by controlling the content of copper and tin of a molten metal. A CGI cast iron comprises a iron(Fe) which is the main component, carbon(C) 3.45~3.55 weight%, silicon(Si) 2.30~2.40 weight%, magnesium(Mg) 0.002~0.008 weight%, copper(Cu) 0.10~0.90 weight%, tin(Sn) 0.01~0.09 weight%, chrome(Cr) 0.03~0.07 weight%, manganese(Mn) 0.30~0.35 weight%, phosphorus(P) 0.1 weight%, and sulfur(S) 0.1 weight% or less. The carbon is added in order to maximize the process graphite amount extrusion rate. The silicon is added in order to maximize the process CGI graphite constant output amount. The magnesium is added for the CGI graphite nucleation and growth acceleration. The copper is added in order to manufacture the low hardness and high tenacity cast iron. The chrome is added for the graphite miniaturization. The manganese is added for the graphite miniaturization and pearlite stabilization.
